How do I join?

Download the Brewniversity app from the Apple Store or Google Play and sign up today.

*You must be 21 or older to enroll in Brewniversity.

What information is required?

Name, Address, Date of Birth, and Email Address. We will contact you by email about your exclusive rewards, offers, events, special promotions, and qualifying Brewniversity trips. Therefore, it’s important to opt into receiving communications from Taco Mac.

How will my information be used?

Don’t worry, we do not share any of your information. We only use your email address to communicate with you about Brewniversity rewards, promotions and exclusive offers and events.

How does the program work?

Receive a $5 Bonus Reward when you sign up, for use on your next visit. First purchase must include qualifying beer purchase and participation of the Brewniversity Program rules in order to receive $5 bonus reward for use on second purchase

Earn a credit for every unique beer you try at Taco Mac and receive exclusive, awesome rewards along the way. Present your check-in code, Brewniversity account number, or Brewniversity card to your server or bartender during every visit to Taco Mac.

  • ONE CREDIT is earned for each UNIQUE BEER you purchase. Since many selections are offered in both draft and bottle, you will receive a credit for each. 5 oz. beers (Nooners) will earn you half a credit.
  • Only SIX credits can be earned in any 1 day with the exception of Double Credit Mondays. You may earn up to 12 credits on Mondays only.
  • Repeated selections do not count as additional credits; only 1 credit per unique beer purchased.
  • “Event” beer credits will only show as a numeric credit addition if it has previously been enjoyed and will not reflect in your history. If you have not previously enjoyed that Event beer, you will earn ONE credit for trying the beer and ONE credit for the event.
Where can I earn and use my Brewniversity credits and rewards dollars?

Participation in the Brewniversity program, including earning credits and rewards dollars, is valid only at Taco Mac locations in Georgia and Tennessee. To comply with Alabama Alcohol Commission rules and regulations, earning credits, rewards dollars, and redeeming rewards dollars for the Brewniversity program is strictly prohibited at the Taco Mac Pelham, AL location.

Do I need to keep track of my purchases?

Make sure to check in on your Brewniversity app each visit and provide your check-in code to your server or bartender so you can get credit for your purchases. A Brew Credit will appear on the itemized receipt. Your Brewniversity app will track your eligible purchases.

How will you contact me?

All communications will be sent via email, so make sure you’re opted in to receive marketing communucation from Taco Mac. This includes reward notifications, exclusive offers, invites, and Brewniversity trip communications. If you did not opt-in when you signed up for the program, please email [email protected] and we are happy to opt you in.

How long does it take for my purchases to appear?

Brewniversity credits and rewards dollars will appear immediately after your payment is processed and your check is closed. Any credits or rewards dollars earned on your visit will display on your Brewniversity app as well as the chit that is provided to you at the end of your visit. If something appears incorrect, please bring it to the attention of a manager, and they will be able to resolve the issue. If your purchase does not appear within 24 hours please email [email protected].

Where is my beer history?

Your Brewniversity history is archived and is available to be emailed to you from the Brewniversity app in an excel file and will include: the abv, brewery, style, date, and location enjoyed. Only the beers you have enjoyed since the last credit reset will appear in your Brewniversity app. Event beers will only show as a numeric credit addition if it has been previously enjoyed and will not reflect in your history.

What is a Chancellor event?

For every 1,000 Brewniversity credits earned we will host a Chancellor event to celebrate your achievement! Ask to speak with your local Bar Manager at your favorite Taco Mac to select your favorite beer to celebrate. You’ll be asked to select a date and beer and your event will be highlighted in the Brewniversity app.

What else should I know about Brewniversity?

Due to special Happy Hour pricing, reward dollars will not be awarded for the purchase of a 20oz, or 23oz PBR, Coors Light, or Founder’s Mortal Bloom.

How do I know that I have a reward?

You will receive an email when you reach a new tier, highlighting the reward you will receive, and the next steps.

  • The Freshmen t-shirt, Sophomore party cup, and Junior drawstring bag can be redeemed at any location.
  • Ensure your mailing address is current, Bachelor – Dean rewards will automatically be shipped to the address listed on your profile. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
  • For the Senior and Master’s tiers, you will receive an email inquiring about your reward preference, so be on the lookout for our email.
  • For the Chancellor tier and above, we will email you for address confirmation, so be on the lookout for our email. Your reward will not be shipped until your address has been confirmed.
How do I redeem my reward?

When you achieve the Freshmen, Sophomore or Junior milestones, our Team Members are happy to provide your rewards at any location. All other rewards will be mailed to the address on your account within 2-4 weeks. Make sure your address is up to date in your app!

Why haven't I received my rewards for Senior or Master's milestones?

Check your email. When you reach the Senior or Master tiers, you will receive an email requesting you to choose your preferred hat or sweatshirt option. If your email address has changed, you can update it in your Brewniversity app or contact Brewniversity@tacomac.com for assistance.

Do my rewards expire?

Rewards are good for redemption for up to one year after achievement. Monetary rewards will expire 30-90 days from issue.

  • Below Beer God:
  • $100: 30-day valid period
  • $200-$300: 60-day valid period
  • $400: 90-days valid period
  • Beer God and Above: 90-day valid period

Reward Dollars received for 20 oz. and 23 oz. draft beer purchases do not expire.

What can I redeem my rewards dollars for?

Reward dollars may be redeemed for food purchases at any location, except for Pelham, AL. Redemption for alcohol varies by location; however, alcohol purchases are not eligible for redemption at Cobb County locations or Pelham, AL. Please note that Brewniversity reward dollars cannot be used to purchase gift cards.

Can I purchase Brewniversity rewards?

We know our merchandise is cool, but unfortunately our rewards are not for sale. Join and participate in our program and we are happy to provide you with the coolest Taco Mac swag.

When are the Brewniversity trips?
  • Platinum Chancellor – Great American Beer Fest: Late September/ early October
  • Beer God – Munich Germany: Mid – Late September
  • Platinum Beer God – Boston Beer Experience: Late July / Early August
What is the qualifying date to be able to attend a Brewniversity trip?

You must reach the qualifying tier by April 30th each year to attend the Brewniversity Trip. If you qualify after 4/30 you will be invited to attend the following year’s trip.

When can I expect to receive details about the trip?

You will receive an email in the spring with details, dates, and any information needed for the yearly trip.

Can I adjust my travel dates or bring a spouse or family member with me?

Unfortunately, no. Travel dates are not subject to change and are non-transferable, as all airline reservations are booked by Taco Mac. These are group trips taken with fellow qualifying members. We understand wanting to share this experience with your favorite people, but we are unable to accommodate additional attendees. Only qualifying members will be able to attend each trip.

What information do I need to provide in order to attend a Brewniversity trip?

Taco Mac is required by the IRS to issue a 1099 for all rewards that exceed a value of $600. Each qualifying attendee is required to submit a W9 before airline and lodging reservations are made, so please ensure you return your W9 prior to or on the requested date, to avoid not being able to attend the trip. You will receive a 1099 to file with your tax return.

What if I have RSVP'd but have to cancel my attendance?

If you find that you are unable to attend the trip after committing, you must submit a written notice at least 60 days before the trip. If cancellation notice is not received within this timeframe, you will forfeit your trip and will not receive an alternate reward.

What else should I know about Brewniversity trips?

Upon qualifying, we will reach out to you every year for up to 3 years, to remind you of your qualified trip. After three years, if you still have not responded, we will remove you from the list and you will no longer be contacted about attending. If you for some reason aren’t receiving our communications, email [email protected] to make sure we have your updated email address.

How do I update my personal information?

You can update your name, e-mail address, phone number, home address and favorite location under MY ACCOUNT on the Mobile App.

What do I do if I forgot my username or password?

If you forgot your password, select “Forgot Password?” on the mobile app to reset your password using your e-mail address. If you forgot your username, please reach out to [email protected] and we are happy to help recover your account.

Can I combine my old account with my new account?

Accounts are only eligible to be combined under the Bachelor tier, with a max combination of TWO accounts. You may not combine more than two accounts, so it’s important to use only one account when participating in the Brewniversity program.
