How do I join?

Download the Brewniversity app from the Apple Store or Google Play and sign up today.

*You must be 21 or older to enroll in Brewniversity.

 

What information is required?

Name, Address, Date of Birth, and Email Address. We will contact you by email about your exclusive rewards, offers, events, special promotions, and qualifying Brewniversity trips. Therefore, it’s important to opt into receiving communications from Taco Mac.

 

How will my information be used?

Don’t worry, we do not share any of your information. We only use your email address to communicate with you about Brewniversity rewards, promotions and exclusive offers and events.

 

How does the program work?

Earn a $5 Bonus Reward after signing up and making your first qualifying beer purchase. Use it on your next visit—it’s valid for 14 days. Just let your server know at checkout.

Earn one credit for every unique beer you purchase and unlock exclusive rewards as you progress. During each visit, present your check-in code, Brewniversity account number, or Brewniversity card to your server or bartender.

      • One credit is awarded for each unique beer purchased.
      • If a beer is available in both draft and bottle, you can earn a credit for each.
      • 5 oz. beers (Nooners) earn half a credit.
      • You can earn up to six credits per day. On Double Credit Mondays, you can earn up to 12 credits.
      • Repeat selections do not count as additional credits; only 1 credit per unique beer purchased.

 

Where can I earn and use my Brewniversity credits and rewards dollars?

Participation in Brewniversity, including earning credits, rewards dollars and redeeming rewards and rewards dollars, is valid only at Taco Mac locations in Georgia. The program is not available at the Taco Mac Pelham, AL, location due to state regulations.

 

Do I need to keep track of my purchases?
Check in on the Brewniversity app each visit and provide your check-in code to your server or bartender. Your Brewniversity account tracks your eligible purchases for you.
Your itemized receipt will include a $0.00 Brew Credit, confirming your account is linked, and your beers will count toward your credits. You will also receive a receipt (or “chit”) at the end of your visit showing any credits or rewards earned.

 

How will you contact me?
All communications are sent via email, so make sure you’re opted in to receive emails from Taco Mac. This includes reward notifications, exclusive offers, invitations, and Brewniversity trip updates. If you are not opted in, you will not receive these communications. To update your communication preferences, visit brewniversity.tacomac.com/login/, select Enrollment Infoand toggle your email status to Opted In.

 

How long does it take for my purchases to appear?
Brewniversity credits and rewards dollars will appear after your payment is processed and your check is closed. Any credits or rewards earned will display in your Brewniversity app and on the receipt provided at the end of your visit.
If something appears incorrect, please let a manager know before you leave so it can be resolved right away.

 

Where is my beer history?
Your full Brewniversity history is archived and can be emailed to the email address on your account from the Brewniversity app as an Excel file. This report includes details such as ABV, brewery, style, date, and location.
The Brewniversity app displays only the beers you’ve enjoyed since the last credit reset. To access your full history, select Beer History on the app homepage, then choose Email My History.

 

What is a Chancellor event?
A Chancellor event is a beer event hosted at Taco Mac when a Guest reaches 1,000 Brewniversity credits. The member selects a beer, which will count as a new Brewniversity credit.
If you’ve reached Chancellor status, ask to speak with the Bar Manager at your favorite location to choose your beer and schedule your event. The event will be highlighted in the Brewniversity app.

 

Are there any exclusions?
Due to All Day Everyday Happy Hour pricing, reward dollars are not awarded for select beers, including 20oz or 23oz pours of PBR, Coors Light, and Founder’s Mortal Bloom.

 

How will I be notified and receive my reward?
You will receive an email when you reach a new tier, outlining your reward and next steps. Please ensure your email and mailing address are up to date on your account.
Some rewards require a response to your notification email. Rewards will not be processed or shipped until a response is received.
  • Freshman ($10 reward), Sophomore, and Junior tiers:
    Rewards will be automatically loaded onto your account and can be redeemed at any Taco Mac location in Georgia.
  • Bachelor to Dean tiers:
    Rewards will be automatically shipped to the address on your profile at the time you reach the tier. If no address is on file, we will contact you via email to request this information. Please respond promptly to the email so your reward can be processed.
  • Senior and Master’s tiers:
    You will receive an email to select your reward preference. Please respond to the email to confirm your selection. Your reward will not be processed or shipped until this is completed.
  • Chancellor tier and above:
    You will receive an email to confirm your shipping address to ensure accurate delivery. Please respond promptly to the email. Your reward will not be processed or shipped until your address has been confirmed.
Please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery of all physical rewards.
For Brewniversity trips, communication with event details, dates, and next steps will be sent by late spring.

 

Do my rewards expire?
Reward dollars expire within 30 to 90 days from the date they are issued, depending on tier.
  • Freshman: Valid for 30 days
  • Chancellor: Valid for 30 days
  • Double Chancellor – Platinum Chancellor: Valid for 60 days
  • Diamond Chancellor and above: Valid for 90 days
Physical rewards must be claimed within 90 days of achieving the tier. Rewards not claimed within this timeframe will be forfeited.

 

What can I redeem my rewards dollars for?
  • Reward dollars are valid for redemption on food and non-alcoholic purchases at all Georgia Taco Mac locations.
  • Alcohol redemption varies by location due to local regulations. Reward dollars are not eligible for redemption on alcohol in Cobb County locations.
  • Reward dollars are not valid for redemption in Pelham, AL.
  • Reward dollars cannot be used to purchase gift cards

 

Can I purchase Brewniversity rewards?

We know our merchandise is cool, but unfortunately our rewards are not for sale. Join and participate in our program and we are happy to provide you with the coolest Taco Mac swag.

 

When are the Brewniversity trips?
  • Platinum Chancellor – Great American Beer Fest: Late September/ early October
  • Beer God – Munich Germany: Mid – Late September
  • Platinum Beer God – Boston Beer Experience: Late July / Early August

 

What is the qualifying date to be able to attend a Brewniversity trip?

To be eligible for this year’s Brewniversity trip, you must achieve the required tier by April 30. Trip details, including dates and next steps, will be shared via email in late spring.

 

Can I adjust my travel dates or bring a spouse or family member with me?
This is a hosted group trip with fixed travel dates. Flights are arranged by Taco Mac, and participation is limited to the qualifying member only (no guests or substitutions).
Travel is booked as part of a group reservation and cannot be modified. Any additional travel outside of the scheduled trip dates is the responsibility of the participant.

 

What information do I need to provide in order to attend a Brewniversity trip?
In accordance with IRS guidelines, rewards exceeding $600 are considered taxable income and may be reported on a Form 1099. If you choose to participate in the trip, a completed W-9 is required as part of registration before airline and lodging reservations can be made. Failure to provide this information may result in forfeiture of your trip.
Taxes are the responsibility of the qualifying member. For any tax-related questions, we recommend consulting your tax advisor.

 

How do I update my personal information?
You can update your name, email address, phone number, home address, password, and communication preferences by visiting My Account on the Brewniversity app or website.

What do I do if I forgot my username or password?

To reset your password, please visit the Brewniversity website and select Sign In, then click Forgot Password? below the login fields:

Can I combine my old account with my new account?

Only accounts below the Bachelor tier are eligible to be combined, with a maximum of two accounts per member. Accounts above the Bachelor tier are not eligible for combination.
